Community Belonging Programs

We create welcoming spaces where families can connect, build relationships, celebrate diversity, and feel part of a supportive community.

A. Tutoring & Academic Mentorship: Provides math and English tutoring for students aged 9-12 years (grades 4-6) through a hybrid delivery model with group tutoring sessions of 4-6 students, focusing on homework help, study habits, and strengthening core skills in fractions, multiplication, problem-solving, reading comprehension, grammar, and writing.

B. Middle School Enrichment & Mentorship: Advanced academic support for students aged 13-15 years ( grades 7-9), covering advanced math ( pre-algebra basics)

C. Life Skills & Youth Development: Structured workshops designed to support holistic academic growth, focusing on building confidence, resilience, and practical skills for everyday life including teamwork, leadership, financial literacy, stress management, and career planning.

D. Resource Distribution : School supply provision, including backpacks, pens, pencils, calculators, and art supplies through in-person distribution events, partnerships with local schools and community organizations, and referral-based support for families in need.

E. Employment support & Referrals: Helps clients find and access employment opportunities aligned with their skills and experience through resume and cover letter assistance, job search strategies and applications, interview preparation workshops, and referrals to employment agencies and job placement programs.

F. Francophone Settlement (Montreal): Culturally and linguistically appropriate settlement services tailored to French-speaking newcomers including orientation to Quebec systems (healthcare, education, childcare) in French, assistance with documentation (RAMQ registration, school enrollment), referrals to francophone community organizations, and one-on-one case management reflecting diverse Francophone backgrounds.

G. Parent & Family Engagement: Interactive workshops designed to empower parents with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to support their children’s education and development. Topics include understanding the school system and curriculum , supporting homework and study habits, positive parenting strategies, and mental health awareness, delivered through multilingual facilitation with guest speakers.

H. Settlement & Integration support : Comprehensive newcomer and refugee settlement services including orientation to healthcare, education, and social services, assistance with documentation and school registration, referrals to community and government programs, and one-on-one case management with multilingual support.
